A little Mexico Blue
I hope my client doesn't get upset, but I know some of you are fans of Mexico blue, so I wanted to share this project.

Thank you gentlemen !! for us it's been a while since we did a color that is easy on the eyes.
Curiously though, this car was original Conda Green, customer does not like green, the next project on my line was Mexico Blue, but it is gonna be Orange, not Signal Orange, but the brightest I can find, the project that has been initialized was orange, and now it is gonna be Strawberry Pink, which by the way, if someone knows the color code, I will greatly appreciate. All the undercarriage protection was done before the blue bath I will ask permission to my customer to see if I can post some of the details of these projects, they are interesting.

Rudy -
That looks to be a nice/fun project. May I ask about the process the tub has gone through to get to that point? Did you paint over the existing undercoating or start w/a clean metal slate in which case was it dipped or baked or media blasted etc...? Thanks, Tom

Steve: I like that orange, we are a couple of months from actually spraying, and I will keep it in mind. Nice Bemmer too.

Rudy -
Thanks for the info. I hope it's not bad form to ask but - say I could deliver a bare tub to you to work on (by bare I mean basically stripped of EVERYTHING except paint and undercoating etc...). Assuming no significant rust repair or major welding - ie: no flares, cage etc... What might it cost to take it through the process to this point - or actually to the point of finished paint? Basically to deliver back to me a finished, painted tub ready for reassembly. Sorry if asking about $$ is bad form - you can PM me or email if you prefer. Thanks, Tom

Wow I never noticed how much Mexico blue and Laguna Seca blue had in common. Maybe LSB is a tad lighter.
Heres my old 2002 I painted LSB: ![]()
