After Chemical Stripping? Next Step.
I have a bunch of parts that I just dropped off at a chemical stripper.
2 Fenders, 1 hood, 2 bumpers etc. I am picking them up monday. My question is , the stripper coats them in a "Short-Term" rust inhibitor should I spend the extra $60 a panel to have them etched primed or should I just prime them myself when I get them back? That being said since they are handling the panels and priming them, the main body of the car will not be using the same process and or the same primer. Is there a specific method that I should use to match their priming process on the car or is that irrelevant? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jon W |
