False aribag warning light???
 

I just bought a certified pre-owned 2004 530i.
On the way home the airbag sensor for the passenger seat started going off, requesting the seatbelt be buckled.

I took it to the dealer and they are trying to say the leather on the seat must be shrunk and setting the sensor off:confused:

They would like me to pay $1,300 to have the seat re-upholsetered. Needless to say there is no way I am falling for this crap.

Have any of you had a similar situation with an electrical malfunction setting this sensor off?
