my 911S conversion

This is my 76 S wide body conversion. I started on it 2.5 years ago.It was a salvage car that a tree fell on. I just got done with the paint 3 weeks ago. It was done in 2 stage PPG . Orange paint code is from the 69 Z/28 .Ill try to post pics of the work as it was being done. (rear end still needs lowered)

I've always liked that color. Looks even better on a Porsche. Did you do the paint yourself?

Ive done all the work myself,I use to paint for a Porsche dealership years ago.I have a local friend with a bodyshop in town .(Eckard Collision Repair..Lancaster Ohio) I got it to the block stage, and he spayed it, and I wet sanded and buffed it. The solid color was nice and the car was painted in parts. Next week I will try to post some pics from tear down to paint.

The paint looks great. It looks like wet candy. I really like the color. Did you weld the rear bumper extensions in place or is that an optical illusion?

OOOOOOrange. Dude ( I mean sir), thats too much. Did you paint the Carrera? Looks good; really unique. Painting the undercarriage (paint over the undercoat), wheels wells etc? Probably way over the top. Are you going to drive it in the winter and rain? I would. I am thinking about doing a red car and sooooo much work.

Regards,
