question on Matrix paint.
 

The bodyshop previously use Matrix on my car. I now need to paint some small panels and want to make sure I have the same result. I have several questions.
- Can I get matrix guard red (have code but not with me) in spray can? If so, anyone know a website? I searched but couldn't find any.
- Is there a different in quality between paint with spray gun and paint in spray can? I did have bad result using spray can from autopart store but is it the brand or spray cans are all bad? If so, why? Is it because the wait they mix it to last in the can?

Try you local auto boby supply store.It's about $45 a can...

the thing with matrex is at least in ct there is no jobber for them its a side line paint system . so going to a glasurit, ppg, ici and so on type jobber will not help if you looking for matrex .

Since the shop that painted it used Matrix obviously there is a dealer close. They should be able to can it for you. Look in the phone book or call the body shop.

most matrex color top coats are for the most part mail order only .the hand full of times i needed to use it in my repair shop i had to mail order it . only clears and primers are supplyed buy some local jobers . its like transtar's no mix system and duplicolor top coats . so it may not be so obvious ! not all jobbers have the equipment to put paints in spray cans . as an x glass-o (glasurit ) BASF tech rep. i know none of our jobbers would carry duplicolor or matrex colors as it would compete with other BASF lines ! most jobbers are the same way and becouse matrex is an off brand ( to small for a stand alone jobber ) most jobbers will not pick them up as a paint line .
