front bumper rubber

trying to fit my bumper on to my 911 targa but having alot of problems with the rubber that sandwhichs between bumper and wing does any one have any pic,s of how this should go thanks brian

Im confused rubber between bumper and wing? Are you from England? Are you refering to the front fender? Can you post a pic of the area?

Hi, do you mean this rubber here? This is a view from the driver side front wheel looking forwards. There is a small lip on the underside of the wing which corresponds to a groove in the rubber. I am in the process of installing my front bumper and next time I would use some adhesive to hold the rubber to the car and then install the bumper. It looks like there is adhesive residue left over on the wing so I think that is how it was done previously. Oh, this is a 1971 911. What year is your Targa?
