Cracks around front struts
 
I recently noticed a crack in the metal ring surrounding the rubber mount that holds the top of the strut on my starter Porsche. they go about halfway around and seem to be growing and I wonder what will happen when they meet? will the top of the strut punch through the hood? How can this be addressed? :(

you're going to need to provide a much higher quality picture than this i'm afraid. a cell phone camera won't cut it for the detail and resolution required.

can't see any crack here. Looks not in good shape but ok so far. Can you mark the crack please.

One thing I think is you mean this, than it's no crack, there are two parts. Strut tower and camber plate

these are cracks in the mastic from somebody removing the struts. look at the post above this one to see how the parts relate with most of the mastic removed.

the factory used mastic to seal the top of the struts to prevent water from entering the trunk area.
