Flares. Metal or fiberglass?
My thought has always been that metal is the only real option. Reason I've thought this is that I thought that fiberglass joints will always end up showing a seam. I could easily be wrong but I've seen too many glass cars with horrible results after a couple years.
Am I right or can the job be long term? If using the correct adhesive and lots of preperation can the job be long lasting? Thanks for your opinions. BTW reasons for not going matal would be cost and complexity of the welding.

Unless you are in a temperature controlled space 100% of the time, no matter how you bond fiberglass fenders, they will form cracks where they join the steel body. IMO, if you use fiberglass flares, you make it obvious with bolts or dzus and a clear seam.
