Anyone done a rear quarter replacement?

I have done more than I can remember. They are not the easiest to trim out, fit and weld. The quarter tucks under the rocker panel and up at the roof in the jamb. The fit at the rear body panel is always fun to align and weld. Save your spot weld bits. Carefully trim the old quarter off the car just inside of the spot welds. Then use a cut off wheel with a 1/4 thick disc (3M 1991) to grind each spot weld. Grind only the top layer of metal around the spot weld. Then use a chisel to separate. Be patient and work cautiously.
