degloss black interior or repaint?
Hey Guys -
I made a mistake when directing my painter on my 911 who hasn't painted many of these cars. I had him shoot the entire car with black glasurit 22 line for both exterior and interior when I should have used more of a flat black for metal parts of the dash, instrument panel and other parts of the interior. Unfortunately, I discovered the mistake after doing the interior so I was wondering if it is possible to use some type of liquid deglosser to take some of the shine out without removing the paint since the interior is already a black color but just too glossy. I was also thinking that possibly sanding with a fine grit might also take the gloss out, but I want the color and shine to be reasonably close. Has anyone done this deglossing procedure before to take gloss out of paint or will I need to remove gauges, etc. to repaint parts of the interior? Any thoughts on this are appreciated. Thanks. |

sanding with 3000 grit sandpaper may give you the look you want.
