Failing Clear Coar

The clear coat on my driver’s door is starting to show some crazing. The rest of the car’s paint is still holding up, and I don’t want to repaint the car if at all possible. I’ve seen some YouTube videos where folks have just scuffed up the clear coat and resprayed some clear coat to get an acceptable 10 foot look. Has anyone tried it and with what success? I realize the best approach is to refinish the entire car (34 year old Platinum Metallic would be hard to match I imagine), but that option is not in the cards.

I can live with it, but wonder if it can be helped as the rest of the paint is holding up quite well.
