i have tried it a few times it's fine if you don't mind seeing the line of the crack thru the new paint.
it's all about how cheap you want to be with the repair and how picky you are about how it looks when your all done with it.

Depending the size of what you are bonding. I used a soldering iron to repair a tab that broke off a headlight housing. It worked. It 's hidden by the fender so I didn't care what it looked like.

PlioGrip makes a two part adhesive "kit". A little spendy though.

Suspect the full compliment of gear in this video will push $200 not including air tools.

This repair is on the real good, real strong side but by no means simple. Just for hip pocket info.

I have not used this but have used their panel bonding adhesive. It has way longer work time than a minute or two like this plastic repair kit. I don't care much for that. However cure time is under an hour compared to 24 hours like the panel adhesive.
