It's only been three years since I brought up James Dean's Speedster

I was in touch with someone back in 2016 who says he knows the SN but considers he "owns" the number since he tracked it down.( and if you say the number you have to mention him)But it seems to me that I saw it printed somewhere else, maybe Lew Bracker knows, he bought it from Dean and resold it. The Porsche factory must have it because the car sold new through an authorized dealer in Hollywood.

Does anyone have an opinion on the pre-A white Speedster in France that showed up at club events with racing numbers 23F? (same as Dean had)

Or is that owner just having fun with us?

Glad to see your post.
I'm always fascinated to learn of the stuff you discover.
Thank you and keep it up.

80126, no? Common knowledge.

80126....James Dean's Super Speedster...Latest news...it lives... I will be presenting at the 356 Registry Boardwalk Reunion in Ocean City, NJ on Oct. 19th 12 noon at the Music Pavilion on the boards. Contrary to other reports over 2018/'19...the real deal Porsche Speedster 80126 is being restored. There are at least two other Porsche Speedsters in Europe that are claimed to be James Dean's. Not true. Forged VINs and bogus documents. Lee Raskin, James Dean/Porsche historian/author
