Front Fender Card Fitment

I’ve searched but don’t see a thread covering the fitment of front fender cards. Can someone confirm the placement of these.

You have them correct in the photos. The right side piece goes over the drain tube, as you have shown.

Do you happen to know if they get painted black? Similar
to what is done to the sound panel in the engine bay. Thanks!

Yes, they are the identical material to what is in the engie bay. At least the originals were. The original material was thick tarpaper, heavily impregnated with tar, and with an embossed "waffle" pattern. It seems now to be impossible to reproduce correctly. I've seen the sound deadening sets made out of the material that you have. Sort of grey and woven looking and definitely not the right look. You'll just have to experiment to get it to look right. The correct black is the black of roofers tar.

Thanks so much for confirming! I replaced the engine bay sound deadening panel with the same gray panel. I brushed black Rustoleum onto it and it is a pretty good match. Will do the same with the fender cards.
