Considering 62 356B - what to look for?

I may have a potential deal on getting rid of my boat, for a 62 356B - S. I've had my 911 for a number of years, but I'm not familar with the 356's. It's a Couple, non sunroof, that looks pretty spartan optionwise. Doesn't even look like there's a heater there (no dash switches/vents). It's a Montana car, but at least seems rust free from a quick visual inspection.

Anything I should look for? From my cursory inspection, Here's what I've seen:

A) The sheetmetal seems solid (felt the wheelwells, looked under the floormats, door sills), paint is very tired (black) the rubber around all the windows is cracked badly.

B) Intertior is dirty, and looks like though the original radio is there, it has aftermarket speakers installed under the dash. The wireing harness looks a little hacked as well.

C) There's a Button on the Gear shifter that looks like a doorbell button. I'm guessing this is something aftermarket, any ideas?

D) I haven't had a chance to look at the engine yet, So I'm not sure what's in there.

Any advice or information is appreciated.

Thanks!

Chuck

Definately have a PPI done by someone that knows these old cars. There is a list of people willing to do it on the 356 Registry's website (www.356registry.org), or subscribe to their list (356Talk) and someone there can help.
