I took the 64 SC to its first Classic Car Night. Everything from a Pierce Arrow to Lotus. The car was a hit, not very many like it this far north. One question that caught me off gaurd though was "How much did this car originally sell for"? I had no idea. Now I am interested!! Anyone know, or have links to this info?

I remember hearing that cabriolets went for around $4000 USD, Spedster and coupes were cheaper than that.
What a bargain! I'll take half a dozen! Kelly |

That's when minimum wage was $1.25, not $5.75
Still a good buy Vw's were 1650 |

You can obtain that info from "Kelly Blue Book". They print an edition that deals with older cars (all cars not just Porsche)
They list the original purchase price, how much the options were,etc... Also, they print what they think the car is worth now. You can look at it at your local library if you don't want to buy it. Hope this helps, John |
