356 rims

Hi everbody, this is my first post to yoru forum, be gentle.

I am a VW guy to the core but only because I can't afford a 356, right now anyway. I have a 66' bug, early Manx dune buggy and soon to a '63 Bug.

I am looking for a pair of 5.5 x15 or 16 356 (wide five) wheels. I know the 16's are rare, but not sure how rare. I am sure I can find a decent pair of OG chrome 356 rims but all my leads have produced nothing. Can someone help me out here?

Thanks

Jason

Check wtih Jim at EASY (easypor@aol.com IIRC) he should have 'em

The 16" wheels are very rare, and for Pre-A 356s. If you can find a set, they will probably cost LOTS.

Thanks, I just send him an email. I also tried Ok Foreign Auto Sales and Stoddard Imported Cars Parts. Ok Foreign did not have any in stock and Stoddard I think has the Mangles repops for sale - yuck.

Its just a matter of time and some cash before I find them.

Keep the leads coming.

Thanks

Jason

Try Parts Obsolete in Oregon. They seem to have a lot of 356 parts that may be hard to come by.
