value of a 1961 356 B Cabriolet ?

I have an opportunity to buy a cabriolet in excellent condition. Is a price around $35,000 way out of line? Are these desirable cars from a collector standpoint? do they appreciate well, should I hold out for a numbers matching car? which this one is not ?

Thanks for your help...

Recently another ask a similar question except he was the seller, the year was different, a 63 I think. The general opinion seemed to be from 25k to 35k depending. Exellence is a source, 356 registry, and of course eBay......for information.
Buyer beware.

And values are going up... if it truly is excellent condition, and no hidden issues, then it would definately be worth it.
