Swepco 306 motor oil
Anyone had much experience with Swepco 306 oil in their 356? My engine has close to 75K miles on it. I've used Castrol but want to switch to something with more zinc in it. I've heard that Swepco has a high zinc content. Any input???
Thanks, Roger 1965 C coupe |

I've heard great things, but I've not used it yet.
Rod Emory of Parts Obsolete runs it in all their race cars. He mentioned that he buys it by the pallet in a recent post on the 356 registry.... you are a member right?? www.356registry.org Join up to the talk list, and ask questions there. regards, Eric

you are on the right track - read this...
http://www.lnengineering.com/oil.html Charles sells both BP & 306. I've ordered BP from my local dist, but I'm confident the 306 is as good (or better). |

You can't go wrong with the Swepco or the Brad Penn. The Swepco, for a daily driver, will buy you a bit longer drain intervals than the Brad Penn since it starts with a higher TBN than the Brad Penn.
