218604 is a chassis number, 356C, 64, coupe, coach builder was Karmann; according to
Eric Cherneff, 356 registry member.

What did you give for it?
Worth is in the eye of the buyer, "Excellence" has a market value section on 356's from time to time, but a guess would be, depending on the restoration, 20 low and 30 high, but prices for late coupes are rising as these cars age, but my opinion is, if your in it for the money buy real estate instead.

I paid 7500 delivered from NJ....rusty bad had good floors, ran after a fashion and had original engine and trans....
