Body for 57?
Need some help! I have a 57 coupe sunroof (not stock on this car) 912 motor, "C" disk brakes, etc. Deep dish fuchs. The body is almost not salvagable. Car needs; pans, front and rear body panels, rockers, door bottoms etc... I think it would be easier to start with a new body, or maybe a glass speedster? Any ideas from the forum??? Any ideas who might have source on good "A" bodies??
Thanks, Scott sdenton@customgarageworks.com

Trevor's Hammerworks makes panels, etc. If you are looking for a donor body though, check with Jim @ EASY (easypor.com IIRC) he has a early Porsche (and other Euro) salvage yard in Cali...

Body for 57
Scott,
There is a company, can't remember the name, that makes a 57 coupe glass body. They have a web site and someone posted a picture on this forum a few months ago. The glass body with all doors a hood, decklid, looks great. You can drop it on a VW frame or make your own tube frame. Again, the glass work looks very very good.
