I really hate recommending other forums, but this one doesn't sell parts and I get mine from PP whenever possible.

Thanks for the link. PM and I can send you the email of the guy who is redoing my '62 Super motor. He has a wealth of info or know where to get it.

Best.

48's are generally to big for a 1600C. Perhaps a big bore, modified, racer built but generally no......This subject has been kicked around here and elsewhere with in the end, the same opinion....sorry...

Yes, 48's are going to be too big, a good choice would be 40's with 32mm vents, most 40's have 28mm vents off the shelf, a bit anemic.
For other motor info and webbers you can try the 912 bbs 912 Board

I've read the same thing, 48's too big.
I've got Nickies (not yet installed) oversize at 1900cc and imagine the manufacturer believes that even so 40's are good.

My experience from my 1600 Fiat Sport Spider, suggests the same, I know it's not the same engine...

I Tried to run '48's on a 356/1800cc built engine. Wayyyyyyy to big. 44's were marginal, 40's were great.
