Check to make sure your radiator and reservoir are full. Make sure the radiator cooling fans are working properly. The heater will blow cold air when the cooling system is not working properly.

The brake lights, if you have check fuses and bulbs, check the brake light switch. It may be out of adjustment or gone bad.
