Jack Walters 356 Jeffries custom Carrera

I saw pictures on a site today of the first time Jack Walters restored the Porsche 356 Carrera coupe he bought from a lady who had bought it from a man who had bought it from Jeffries. I guess first Walters went for custom stripes but later did it right, in silver like Jeffries had done it.
My questions are quite arcane, but here they are:
I thought I read somewhere that Walters saw the car parked in a driveway when he was visiting a girlfriend. The Porsche had been hit. Has it ever been printed what he paid for it back then?
Secondly, Jeffries had sold it to a guy named Nussbaum who was fond of hand grenades, Thompson machine guns and robbing banks. Did Nussbaum ever get a chance to try it out as a getaway car? I wonder how the girl owner got it if Nussbaum was in jail (he eventually got out, turned straight and became a novelist!).
Also I am surprised the Carrera engine lasted through all this time, maybe they are pretty sturdy...

It has been restored to the way Jeffries did it

by a craftsman in Georgia and was on display at Amelia Island. What I am hoping to find out is how much Jack Walter bought it for--he found it by accident when visiting a girlfriend and it was parked across the street with a damaged nose. He bought it when he was a teenager and kept it all these years (decades). I am also wondering if it had been brought back to stock nose and tail, how much it would be worth--must have been a tough choice whether to restore it as a custom or go back to original. I also don't know if it has the original 4-cam or a later one bought for it--from what some people here said, a 4 cam engine today is upwards of $75,000.
