huge stock of 356/912 parts f/s
Huge stock of new & (mostly) used 356/912 parts cluttering my shelves. Lotsa crankshafts, valve train parts (early and late), cases in various conditions, sheetmetal, oil filter cans, cams, rods, early fans, a nearly complete core 644 trans with axles and tubes, a rust free T5 rear clip including the roof. Boxes of carbs, both Zenith and Solex 40-P11, some loose used pistons and cylinders, some new bearings, some core heads, several 180mm flywheels, some exhaust J tubes and heater boxes. NO front or rear engine tin, NO mufflers. Couple of gas tanks that need reconditioning. E-mail or call 805 925 1993 during normal working hours.

912 parts
I'm in need of many of the parts that you say you may have. I have been looking for a long time for a pair of rocker arm assemblies for my 912 (the aluminum ones). I need the entire assembly, brackets, shafts, rockers, and any springs or shims you might have. I'm also in need of a stock 912 engine piston, just one because one of mine was damaged and probably not usable. If you have any of this you can reply here or Email at Bigbrotherjohn@yahoo.com. Thanks.

912 parts
I actually just bought a big bore kit and the rocker arms that I was looking for. However I am still looking for some parts that I forgot to put in my other post. I need the camshaft gear, pushrods and tubes if you have any in good condition, and also looking for valves and valve springs if you have any nice ones. Thanks, sorry for any confusion.

Pushrods, yes, but the tubes are gone in the trash. I don't reuse them, and the ones in the pile weren't anything to write home about. Ditto the springs, I toss the bad ones, and most of them are bad. I can probably get you new ones at a good price. Valves, maybe. Stock 912? What size cam gear? John

stock '67 912 except for 86mm big bore p&c. I wasn't aware that their were different size cam gears unless you want to know if it is the gear that goes on the crank or the one that goes on the cam. If so it is the gear that goes on the cam (which is bigger I guess).

The cam gears are numbered in sizes -4 through +4, and the size is important. Stamped on the side of the gear. If you need a piston, I need to know the manufacturer of the piston/cylinder set. Most common are K&S, Mahle, ISS, and NPR. There are also some other brands, such as Shasta, Jahns, and MC. It'll be identified somewhere on the inside of the piston. I'll also need to know the width of the ring grooves, and whether there's a cast in reinforcing band.

If you have the old gear from this engine, you can look for the number. If you're putting it together from scratch, there's a procedure in the manual for determining what size you need. Unfortunately, you need access to several sizes of gear in order to select the right one. It all has to do with geat lash, too much and you'll have noise and rapid waer. Too little and the gear will wear out in a few miles. John

Left fender or quarter panel
Any chance you have a left front fender for a 1960 356 coupe?

How about the carb linkage for a 356C? Or, how about the junction block for the oil lines that attaches to the engine?

Do you have any crankshafts available? I'm looking for a good C crank. May consider an SC/912. Thanks

parts still available
I know this is an old post - but do you still have parts for sale?
Looking for a forged crank with some life left in it suitable for using in a autocross engine. How much if you have one?
