Starting on a restoration for a 64 356 coupe. First thing I need is a decent transaxel

Grimmel,

Congratulations. Good going on our birthday gift. This is a great forum but you might be better served on at 356 Registry with you WTB ad. Also if you 65 already has a transaxle you might consider Vic Skirmants for a rebuild. It may be cheaper than buying an used transaxle of an unknown condition. Anothe source is Rusty Tubs of Roswell. They deal in used 356 parts.
