Weber 40 IDT base plate gasket

Hey guys noticed the base plate gaskets on my carbs were leaking from old age so decided to replace them. I ordered the rebuild kit but noticed the new gaskets have three holes. My question is does this matter and is there a correct orientation to install them. Or are they just not the right ones?

Yeah that is not the right gasket. It should look identical to the top one. It also looks like the hole is bigger and the overall size is bigger. Can you post a pic with the old on top of the new?

Check redline, and maybe order Weber 40 IDA 3c as no one (on the retail side) knows what an IDT is for Porsche and it's the same basic carb in terms of where it meets the manifolds.

Thanks for the help that’s what I was thinking. And yes the gasket is a little bigger. These came in the redline 40 ida kit so going to have find them from someone else hopefully.

It's strange, as our host has a rebuild kit showing the same ones that you got with the hole in there. While the hole shouldn't cause a problem, I would buy something like this:
