Fuel Pressure Reg and Dampener... replace or not?
Am sorting out plans for '85 3.2 fuel system build. Engine currently has original fuel pressure regulator and dampener. Figure since I'm in there, might as well replace them but... Am wondering whether these do wear out or, do they last indefinitely? Don't mind replacing reg but dampener... those are not $-friendly.
... Advice appreciated. .

I have rarely seen an issue, but each year, the car is getting older. Not sure if they are available as I bought a reg a year ago due to it being the only one I could find in the US. That problem may have remedied itself. On rebuilds, I replace the fuel lines and injector seals, that is all, but if you can swing the whole taco, probably advisable. Save the old ones as an issue is rearing its head now and that is of poor quality in manufacturing of parts. Changing of the guard in industry, they are going to the dark side Luke
