911SC - Dash pad screws near windshield
So, my interior refresh is taking way too long and I probably should have taken more pictures.
I'm 99% sure that I took 5 screws out of the dash where it meets the windshield seal. The dash pad (recovered) is in, and lifting up on the front "extra" vinyl I can only find 4 holes. It would make sense that it's 1 each to the outside of the vents and then 3 between the vents. Looking at pictures I've seen endless combinations though :-(. I imagine some of this might have been people attempting to "fix" things over the years maybe? What was the layout supposed to be? I don't know why I can't find the 5th hole. It's hard to left up the vinyl flap in the corners, but pretty sure I'm not missing a hole there. Maybe I'll just create a new hole so there are 3 between the vents. Seems to kind of need it. Thanks! Todd

Thanks!!
So maybe 4 is correct, 1 at each vent corner. I’ll have to go back out and inventory more parts. Maybe the extra screw/washer is from a different piece such as the trim piece at b pillar under quarter window. Pretty sure it’s the same. Maybe I just set it down in the wrong spot. Todd

personally i used even six-8 screws so the lip is nicely flash withe body when it meets the windshield. It much easier to install the windshield later on..to make a extra hole is not a big deal..
