Why is my car
Running so good this spring? It seemed to run better than ever this spring. It was the first time I drove the car since November and I can't remember it running so good and smooth.
Could it be the I've been running ethanol free gas. The final drive off the season, last fall, I topped it of with the usual, ethanol free gas, added Techtron injector cleaner. Also, on the last drive, I like to take a long drive and burn almost a full tank of gas. Last fall, on my last drive, I found a high desert highway with almost no traffic and ran the 911 between 100 and 120mph for about 70 miles. There was almost no smoke when I started the Porsche after sitting in the garage all winter, which is unusual. I might have to make the last drive a ritual. |

Question. So you don't drive your car in the winter in Nevada? Why not?

I live in Northern Nevada, near Lake Tahoe. We have a winter here and my tires are summer only. I sometimes drive in the winter. We occasionally, have an Indian summer or January thaw. Then I drive.
