Mary Stuart inspired 911S

I remember reading about this car when I was in Japan last year, and I actually really liked how this car was put together overall. I like how the Mary Stuart style wing was done too, it looks much cleaner. This 911S is a street legal race car in Japan, and it gets driven everywhere, which is amazing.

Do you love it or hate it?

Some things are interesting, but too much bling for my eyes.

Makes for a dirty engine - and can reduce the cooling effectiveness, especially in traffic. For a race car - minimal difference.

I absolutely love the carbon steering wheel too, and I wonder how it feels in the hand. I'll see if I can meet up with the owner when I go back to visit a few Pelicans in Japan later this year. Maybe he'll have his new mods ready too! :P

The only thing i'm not really fond of on the car are the tire stickers- I never really cared for them.

The pinstriping is an interesting touch, I think it's definitely needed to show more definition on that rear wing.

Just thought I’d update everyone with this build as I still chat with him from time to time. He has even wider wheels now, and is extending the bodywork 2.75 inches on both sides. Should be done early early May!

Funny how subjective taste is. If it were mine (wish it were) the first thing I’d do is frisbee that hideous wheel in the nearest trash can. CF has no place on a 72 imho. Second thing I’d do is loose the pin stripes.

I'm so with you on that.
Ditch the steering wheel and pin stripes.
Also I'd put a GT3RS exhaust on that baby so it sounded much better.
Those super traps or whatever they are, sound horrible.

Very cool overall. I am not a fan of the carbon fiber or the pin (more like sharpie) stripes. I am more of a traditionalist but do like tasteful mods.

Thought I’d give a quick update. Went to Japan last month and met with the owner. He graciously picked me up and drove me out to see his car. Despite the a language barrier, we were able to converse still. It was an awesome afternoon.

After I left, more progress was made. The molds for the widebody are finally done, and the 911 should be done within the next month or two!
