Beverly Hills Car Club?

Anyone have any experience dealing with them?
Anyone local to them?

I've seen a few P cars that 'need work' and seem to be fairly priced, but others have misleading descriptions or claim to be 'matching numbers' but no proof in their photos that show it.

Just curious what others think.

Thanks!

Good place to find a parts car, if the main part you need happens to be a crap ton of rust.

Not a club you'd really want to join.

They get some good projects but it’s the kind of place you want to go shop in person.

Hi Trakrat,

Matt offers perfect advice. I went to BHCC last year and looked at 2 911 projects they had offered on their website. The car descriptions in their ads were pure fantasy, but the pictures they posted told the real story. The BHCC salesman was extremely friendly and was not pushy at all. He let me fully inspect the cars and also had them up on a lift so I could easily inspect the undercarriage. In the end, we could not agree on a price that made purchasing the cars economically viable.

I would highly recommend that you personally inspect the car or have someone do it for you, so you don't have any surprises. Otherwise, you'll probably be very disappointed.

This is what I was wondering. They definitely seem to have a lot of 'project' cars... but their prices seems a heck of a lot better than 'Gullwing Motor Cars'.

Techweenie has a good working relationship with them and offers inspection services if there’s a particular car you like.

BHCC and Gullwing motors are cut from the same cloth. Do not read their descriptions, look at the pics and just know very little to nothing about their cars, they just have too many. That said, they are the place to find a project if that's what you want. Don't let anyone fool you, they do not have any problems moving cars and making $$$ or they wouldn't be there.

Interesting place, but I'll never go there again. Two trips to inspect one car, first day 45 min until someone said hello, and at the time I was tech director for PCA LA, and told them I was coming, 1 hour more until they moved enough cars that I could get the doors open, another hour until it was on a lift. Then after the on lift inspection they moved 30 + cars back in the shop blocking the exit, and it would have been another 2 hours to get it out for a drive. Frustrated I left, called the client on the way back, he liked what I had to say, begged and pleaded for me to go back and drive it again the next day. I called, told them I was returning, "please have the car available, battery charged, for a quick drive." Got here, dead battery, parked behind 3 cars, etc. Finally got it out for a drive, came back, called the client, he wanted the car. He then called them to proceed, and they told him he was too late, and the car was sold.
Deal with them if you want to......
