1981 - 83 Fuel distributor connector

Hey all. I have a 1979 (euro) engine and replacing the fuel distributor line to what is available (81-83). But the 78-80 connector doesn't fit it (too large on one side.). Does anyone have a correct 81-83 fuel distributor connector (smaller diameter on both sides)?
And will it fit a 79? Thanks!

Pictured is the 79 connector which is too large on the line side. It needs to be the same size/thread as the connection to the fuel distributor, right side, (that side screws in.) So same size on both sides.

I should have what you need, but you must confirm the OD of these threads.

They should be 14mm, and you will need a Copper crush ring as well.

You may email me with your info- len.cummings @ verizon.net

OK Paul, I have a few of them. I also have the Copper Crush Rings if needed.

I sent an email with details.

Wrong fitting size.......

Len,

You have plenty of these 8-mm x 1.0/8-mm x 1.0 adaptors. The 10 or 12 mm are too big for the fuel distributor ports. The ‘81~’83 CIS use these 8-mm x 1.0 fittings.

Hi Tony, thanks. Yes I do.

Landstew (Paul) above is asking for M12x 1.5 on both sides for his adapter.

Yes, I have this as well.

Len,

Check with Paul and best to have pictures. M12 x 1.5 adaptor/s will not fit with the fuel distributor ports. M12 x 1.5 is the thread size for the fuel injectors and the fuel distributor has M8 x 1.0 pitch. Are you aware of this?

A simple solution is to use the metal fuel lines from ‘81~’83 to replace the plastic fuel lines. Even if the customer has a turbo fuel distributor, M12 x 1.5 would be useless to connect to the FD. Good luck.

Paul-

Per Tony's post above, are you certain you need an adapter with M12 x 1.5 on both ends?

If this is what you need, I have this and posted a photo above. I also emailed you with a photo.

Yes, I do have the smaller fittings as Tony describes.

Len,

I think Paul was referring to the M12 x 1.5 fittings to the deliver and return lines of the fuel distributor. Both delivery and return use M12 x 1.5 for this kind of FD. A better description would have saved us from all this confusion or simply a picture of the FD.

All I know is that the M12 x 1.50 side (that screwed into the distributor) from the 78 - 80 connector fit into the 81 - 83 fuel line end that I need. I used that to size it. So it needs to be M12 x 1.50 on both sides (one side cupped for fuel line.) I was told it was the fuel distributor so maybe that's wrong and it's the return.. Does that M12 fitting seem right then? The picture that Len posted seems right.. As long as one side is cupped for the fitting. Can you send me or post a photo of the cupped end that goes into the fuel line, Len? Thanks! Appreciate the help.

Been in a pouch and on my kitchen counter for about a week now....

Yes, this is a M12 x 1.5 Male Cone.

I am waiting for an address to ship this. Do you need the Copper Crush Ring as well?
