Lack of hands-on experience.....

Cold control pressure is measured at time 0 from a cold start where resistance does not play any role.

That's what I said and I think we are in agreement there from one engineer to another.

PMax,

This is the big difference between you and me. You keep pretending to know and understand a subject which put you in disadvantage. I don’t know everything about CIS and that’s the reason I never stop trying to learn and get educated. I spent countless hours doing experiments and testings to gather data and understand what is going on under different set of conditions.

You have been asking and trying to get from me for years about the “10-Ohms theory”. There is nothing secret about it. If Philipp could understand it better than you, then there is a problem. And if you keep being stubborn (arrogant might be too strong) and not willing to open your mind and accept you are missing something, you will never catch the train.

Your understanding about the correlation of heater resistance to cold control fuel pressures will be your Waterloo. Wish you the best.

Boyt911SC,

Focus on the technical discussion and all will be good.

Ok guys,

lets go back to technic :)

I found one reason: Bad oxygen Relay under passenger seat. Fixed --> FV is buzzling... Check.
For all who have similar Problems: My old relay clicked and seemed good!!! Its no garantee that its good!!!

Next i put in a new oxygen Sensor (Part 0 258 986 501), Engine seems to run smoother...

I will start the engine often now to look at a constant idle...

Problem is still aviable: Engine idles at 950. When i open the throttle and close it quick the RPM does go to 950 slowly (It takes about 5 seconds from 2000 to 950 RPM). Is that the vacuum limiter??? Is ist normal?

Regards Philipp

Great progress!!

5 sec from 2K to 950 is definitely not normal. Hanging up the rpm is what the decel valve does, the saucer gadget with the nipple and vacuum hose attached to it. I would plug the nipple or plug the whole thing up altogether if you don't need the function. That's what I did.

^^^

I also removed mine altogether on my Mighty Meatlocker Turbo many years ago when it failed - much better to have a throttle that works "normally" (revs no longer hang when the throttle plate is closed).

Philipp1988,

How goes on the idle ?

I would remove the WUR and do a visual. The screen is visible in this pic from a 12 page WUR servicing guide someone wrote to assist all the amateurs like us.

Of course, you can send it to a rebuilder and have a warrantied WUR. But you still need to verify it's in fact a problem with the WUR and not an obstruction downstream otherwise the problem will remain.

The b2resource link won't work any more, but still you can find that PDF via Web archive:

Was a good run, one of the better if not the best articles for DIY amateurs like myself.

Kudos to Mr Hauer.
