What the heck is this? 911SC
 
Open the rear trunk and saw this broken plastic thing... not sure what it is. Any thoughts? Thanks!

It looks like your oxygen sensor connection. There should be a wire that comes up through your tin that goes to that connector.

Well, it was your oxy sensor connection that ran down to the lamda in your exhaust system. When not in play your under seat (passenger) control box goes to a preset range.....but I'd not try an emissions test presently.

yes, I had to replace that on my 85 911 once. cant recall now where I got the replacement part. form a suggestion on a thread.

what year is your SC? looks like it is CIS. my 78 did not have a ecu and no O2 sensor.
