M&K or Dansk 2in2out GT3?

I have an early 2-in/2-out M&K on SSI's that I got from Ben when he first started. The first one (if I remember correctly) didn't have the reinforcements and cracked. I shipped it back to Ben and he fixed it for me and I have been using it ever since. I absolutely love how it sounds, but I also have straight cut gears, no interior insulation and no radio. My commute sounds like I'm at LeMans.

I drove the car on public roads in Ontario, Canada for well over a decade (I can't remember when I got it, it was so long ago) and was never bothered by the local police, even though I used to register 100.1 db at the local track. A got a lot compliments on how great it sounds and only ever had two people complain about it: My wife and the California Highway Patrol (I recently moved to Cali). CHP pulled me over because I still had Canadian plates on the car and he said that he could tell "there is no way this thing passes smog ... something... something...race car".

So, In order to pass Cali smog and sound at Laguna (90db = Ugh), I am removing the SSI/M&K and installing a CARB compliant setup I just ordered from RarlyL8. If someone is looking for a "classic" M&K/SSI, ping me. I will really miss this setup, but I can't drive it on the street and I have to cap one side to make sound at Laguna.

I drive my hot rod 911 with headers and an early M&K in SoCal and love it! Haven’t been stopped for sound.

Yea, I love the M&K quality, but the second wind in the second post is amazing sounding!

I have an early M&K on my turbo SC. My wife, in the paddock, tells me she knew where I was on track at Watkins Glen by the sound.
