Looking for opinions on GTS Classics seats

Debating reupholstering my standard seats vs buying GTS Classics S Sports seats or R seats. I enjoy long multi-day road trips with my 1971 911T Targa so I am leaning toward the S Sports as a mix of sport and comfort. If you have seats from GTS Classics how would you rate the quality, comfort, and appearance? Also, do they sit the same height or lower than standard seats? I am 6' 2" and can't sit any higher up in the targa than I already am.

They are very nice, but Stefan is very proud of his seats. I would look at BF Torino for similar quality at half the price.

I ordered seat from GTClassics and found the 11 month wait and the cost not worth the lack of quality. Only fair workmanship, no quality control and in the end only worth half of what I paid.

Where do you see them at half the price? They look to be about the same price.

Then they’ve gone up significantly. I paid $1400 delivered for mine.

New to this is discussion... I purchased 2 fixed back seats for my future vintage racer and they seem to have excellent workmanship. Stephan told me it would be about 3 months and when it took 3 extra weeks he gave me a significant discount... What should I see with respect to poor quality?

This is where the seat back and seat bottom meet.

I sat in their seats at Rennsport, I am a little bigger than you. I said I need the big boy seat, he told me you are in it!

I have a set in my 76 Backdate and think they are quite nice. Stefan has very good customer service as well.

I'm 6'3" 250 and Stephan added width and height for a couple of $100 ...

I have nothing like that... Very straight stitching and everything lines up... I see why you would be unhappy with that...

For the money they should have good customer service!

There are many other companies out there that sell good seats for much less. Someone mentioned Cobra, I had a set of those in my SC and they were nice....great support....resistant to fade...but the fixed back seats tend to be a tad tight for some, I'm 5'10" 155lbs and they were perfect for my frame.
I currently have SWB 912 and I just put Scat seats in it because I needed a comfy folding back seat. They aren't great for lateral support but they are super comfy and well built, and only $300 a piece.

I'm 235, same height. Surprised he didn't mention that. Maybe it was someone else working the booth then?

Stefan built a set of tartan plaid sport seats for my 914-6.
They are incredibly beautiful and well built.
They took some time to build (I had the time) and were not inexpensive.
But the final results speak volumes....

And customer service? Excellent.
By accident, I put a slit into one of the headrests.
Sent the seat back to Stefan and he had it repaired for free fairly quickly.

They are very nice seats. I'd do the ST seats over the R seats...more support. Can't say if they are better than BF Torino or D'Eser seats. I have a set in my '74 911 and they are very comfortable and quite supportive.

I have been communicating with Stefan for a couple of weeks now about some seats. So far so good, extremely responsive and certainly not twice the price of BF Torino when comparing apples to apples. (FWIW, BF Torino never answered my request for a quote on custom seats.) I'll report back with some pictures once I get the GTS Classics seats.

Not sure at which apples you are looking, but GTS Classics Rallye in leatherette/corduroy ($995) is pretty damn similar to the BF Torino Rally ST in leatherette/corduroy ($541). So yes, technically not twice, but not an insignificant difference. .
