Need help with wheels
My 86 Carrera has Euromeister 7x16 and 8x16 wheels that were purchased in 2013 along with a new set of Continental tires. Fast forward to the present, I now need tires, and ordered a set. Because I recently purchased a commercial building that used to be an auto repair business, I put the Porsche up on one of the lifts (with hockey pucks bolted to each corner) and carefully pulled the wheels off, cleaned them thoroughly, and delivered them to the tire store to have my new tires installed. BAD NEWS!! When I picked up the wheels and new tires, I found that the 7" front wheels had been badly scarred. For some reason, the 8" rear wheels came through unscathed.
I am insisting that the tire store buy me a new set of front wheels. However, I cant' find Euromeister wheels anywhere. Are they still available? When searching, I found Maxilite wheels. Does anybody have any experience or opinion about these wheels? Would they match the Euromeister wheels okay?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1582408100.jpg |
Can the wheels be fixed instead?

Not as easy as it used to be. I believe Rose Passion still carries them.

Thanks for the info. Anybody know anything about those Maxilite wheels?

Rose Passion was definitely selling Euromeisters about 6 months ago. Bought from them - easy transaction and fast shipping. You can see the euromeister logo on the picture of the 17” ones.

The machined lip on the Euromeisters won't match the smooth lips on Maxilite or Fuch.

Cory and PF, thanks for your insight. Now to see if my tire seller is going to be decent about their error and buy me a couple of wheels. If not, there will be a new post with their name in caps all over it.
