Dansk Sport muffler tips

Hey all, this may be a dumb question but I can't figure out how I am supposed to install the polished tips on my new Dansk 1 in - 2 out GT3 style muffler for my G-model.

The muffler's integrated tips are a little short. I am not sure how to get the polished ones to stay on. The C-clamp doesnt quite do the job and I am not sure where to use the extra ring that came with it.

Any help would be appreciated!

The ring shoild go inside the new muffler tip and seal around the existing tip.

So to clarify, the ring goes into the widened part of the exhaust tip and the whole thing goes over the muffler tip?

Should the clamp go around the fatter part of tip (where the ring will also be) or should it overlap the space between the tip and the pipe from the muffler?

I am considering this particular muffler for my '85 Carrera with a pre-muffler & factory HE's. Can you give a review? Any drone? How do you like the sound? They are marketed as a muffler that is not LOUD....

(I can't find any info/rvdeos/reviews on the 1 in 2 out version)

Thanks,

Dave

I don’t think the ring is a seal like on conventional exhaust pipe-to-pipe fitting but a compression fitting that goes over the tailpipe and tip will go over the ring with the band clamp holding both together. Provided diameter is correct. Might be snug but can pry it open a bit to easier then clamp down.

This sounds about right.

Just an update for everyone-

I ended up taking it to a muffler shop and they got it to fit by bending out the pipe a bit so it had a tighter fit. It's a little crooked looking but i think i can adjust it to be perfect now.

I've been running this muffler with a Fabspeed pre-muffler cat bypass for a few weeks now. Overall I like the set up a lot. Good sound quality, no drone. Overall exactly as advertised and sounds very close to the video and audio clips I found online. It's hard to capture a driving video but I can upload a cold start if people are interested.

My only complaint is it's not as visceral and loud as I was going for. Good for now but I might change it to a valved Achtung Kraft or M&K in the future so I can control the experience a bit.

Nicely done and thanks for the update. I am sure some would love a start up video...we all love those exhaust sounds and videos . maybe a photo of how you finally mounted and where things go also...
