Stupidest question about valve adjusting Pelican will have today

I am about to adjust the valves on my 3.2 SS twin plug built from a 3.0 running Tec3R.

Stupid question #1 - At TDC with the Z1 marks lined up to the center of the case, since I do not have a distributor, how do I tell when I am on TDC for cylinder #1?

Stupid Question #2 - Are all 3.0 and 3.2 clearances 0.1MM?

Two ways to know if you are on TDC #1 firing. When rotating the motor watch the intake valve. After the intake valve opens then closes that cylinder will be approcing TDC firing. Or at TDC check to see if both the intake and exhaust valves have clearance. That would be TDC firing. On TDC overlap they will be tight.

Valve clearance is .1mm on both, assuming stock cams.

Interesting. Do GE60 camshafts have a different valve lash specification? I believe it's the standard .1mm.

If you have the rocker covers off could you get cylinder 4 rocking - exhaust valves closing and inlet valves opening like a conventional engine (different firing order though)?

Look for overlap then tweek it. After that you can adjust the proper set that's at tdc. .
