mysterious wire

I found what looks like a solid black wire that is not connected to anything under the dash.

Here is a photo of the mysterious wire.

What year and model car are you working on?

It’s probably two wires in a outer covering. Did 72’s have a ignition buzzer? Usually that’s the wire that people ask about when they find it disconnected. There would be a jack on the ignition body if your car has the buzzer.

Did some research on ignition buzzer and looks like you may be right.

True - the end is out of focus as I was trying to squeeze myself under the dash to look up :)

It is just a standard spade connector.

standart for Porsche or not is the question;-))
