Help Identify Mounting Points and Drain Tube in Engine Bay
Hi Everyone,
I'm restoring a '72 and some components were not installed during my teardown. Hence my questions... There are three mounting studs going from the inside, left side of the engine bay into the wheel well area, where there is just a nut. I tried to take off the nuts but of course the stud spins with no way to grab the other side. Not sure if I can just paint over these or if I should cut them off. What are these for? ![]() ![]() There is also drain looking tube in this picture. What is this for? Does a rubber line run in it? Is for fuel? ![]() Thanks for your help, Rodney

The studs are where the fuse/relay panel mounts. My guess is they are the remnants of the old rubber panel mounts.
The tube is indeed for a hard fuel line. There should be a rubber grommet installed. |
