But to echo everyone else: don’t get a hotel in Speedway. |

Carmel is fine if you prefer being out in the suburbs to a more urban location. I think someone already mentioned https://www.ironworkshotelindy.com/ which is also up on the north side in Castleton. There are some decent restaurants in that complex as well.

Recently cancelled my downtown hotel reservation for one in Carmel area for, hopefully, better peace of mind at night. This thread got me thinking about how easy these cars are to finding unauthorized adoption during the night, and I want to sleep somewhat peacefully if possible...

Does the Carmel hotel have covered/secure parking? |

Nope, it’s just a standard ol’ Hampton Inn. But what little I know of Carmel, it’s pretty quiet and upscale so I don’t foresee any issues 12-15 min north of Downtown. You’re welcome to “hide” your car along with mine behind my car trailer for peace of mind, lol!

There will be a contingent of air cooled cars coming up from Nashville. I found an airbnb in Broad Ripple with a carport...

It's now Sportscar Together Fest - and I imagine Luft will be butted up against that or somehow integrated. Unknown if multiple tickets will be required. Very curious. Chance of Luft in a different location on Friday? Who knows. |

Anyone know what the vintage racing element will be at this event? I went to the last Rennsport and the most interesting part were the old race cars.

A bunch of us got Airbnb houses (mine has a garage) in the neighborhood just SW of the speedway. 5 minute walk, but we got infield parking for the Porsche Fest anyway.
I doubt Luft will be at the speedway, and I'm eager to know for sure where it'll be.

I’ll be stunned if there are not some Luft activities at the Speedway. It would be a fairly epic fail if that’s the case…

So Luft 7 is going to be on the street in the middle of downtown Indy? Color me disappointed.

Please excuse my ignorance - I'm not "intimately" familiar with this show - although yes I have heard of it.
In reading through the Luftgekuhlt website - I get the impression the only way to get ticket info - is to subscribe to the newsletter - is that correct? Also - If one wants to be a general viewer (not a car participant) to walk amongst the cars - one needs to purchase a ticket? or are tickets only for if you want to show your Porsche or park your Porsche in / at or near the event? I'm not clear on this...

How did you get the infield parking pass? I’m not seeing the option on the IMS site.

It should be available after selecting your tickets, but the add on button is not working. You could call at (800) 822-4639. Also there will supposedly be Porsche corrals in the infield as well, not sure when those will go on sale.
