Tony,
Why not just put a repair kit in the WUR? Tom |

Tony,
Mailed it today with return address inside. The fuel line is in the box too since I couldn’t get it off the WUR. Tom |
Tony,
You should receive my WUR tomorrow (Tuesday). Sent it UPS Tom |
Tony,
Were you able to check out the WUR? Tom |
I am sure you have already considered these things since you are past checking injectors...but just in case...
When/if you replace the filter or otherwise open up the fuel system (or if the car has been sitting a while), you need to "burp" the fuel injection system by lifting the sensor plate for about 5 seconds...or it can be really hard to start (if at all). Also remember there is a cold start valve behind (7th injector) the engine. It only comes on when the starter is cranking. Check the manual throttle under the emergency brake to make sure it is engaging. |

Tom, Sorry for not updating you. Your WUR was among the first CIS components I tested last week after the Engine Rebuilding Workshop in September 2021. The cold control fuel pressure is too high (68 psi.) almost as high as the system pressure (70 psi.). The fuel flow through the WUR is so restricted (clogged) that I could hardly generate a drip of fuel through the WUR. I have no luck getting the inlet fuel line fitting on the WUR to get it loose. That thing is so tight, I am afraid to strip or worse break the fitting. You need to fix this problem first. I will pack the WUR-129 and ship it back to you. Tony |
Tony,
Thanks for checking out the WUR! After you send it back, I will see if I can get the fuel line off without breaking the fitting or the WUR. Tom |
