Anyone see the article in the Wall Street Journal about the custom car built by Bill Cushenbery?
"The car made its way through several shops in Los Angeles, ending up in the hands of a genius Porsche specialist named John Esposito, of Espo Restoration." https://www.wsj.com/articles/a-spaceship-car-is-ready-for-liftoff-11645230322?mod=life_work_featured_strip_pos1 |

If you are a criminal, Fraud is the jack pot. The tinder swindler stole tens of millions from frauding women and he did like a month in jail when finally caught..what a joke lol. I saw several posts on other sites referencing the display they had at the recently LA auto show..They put on a nice display, and do a pretty good job at getting new business..It's such a bad feeling, to have your car held hostage by these guys. I lost a lot of sleep while my car was there. At some point, hopefully it will catch up with them..but shoot..they are quite slippery..Hope anyone with a car there gets it out asap

I went to the place yesterday and the landlord hired a security guard to ensure that nothing gets taken out of the shop. The landlord expects a court order to be in his hands by the end of the week. It's highly disappointing on so many fronts. Maybe I'm naive, but I feel that John is a good person and has just lost all control over his business. In the end, the process has been not only disappointing but extremely stressful. I feel that I'm basically managing another business - that's how time-consuming it is... Restoring a classic car should be fun not a massive headache!

Meanwhile, in this month’s PCA magazine Esposito and Women In Porsche get a favorable mention in an article. Unreal.

I totally understand the feeling of having your car stuck at ESPO. It is seriously stressful. Sorry you guys are dealing with this, especially now. I actually think the scale of this is deserving of a Netflix special at some point. It's right up there with some of these other fraud/scam artist that have been getting away with it for so long.

People are calling me for advice & help. Seems there are cars locked away or taken away and owners are unable to gain access.
This is what I’ve heard from 3 customers and have no reason to disbelieve these stories. Beware.

Looks like everyone’s property is being well-taken care of.

For anyone who’s looking for recourse or your stuff, they have rented a new space at:
7225 Fulton Ave. North Hollywood, CA 91605 It’s like Whack-A-Mole. Someone should contact the property owner… Oh, and BTW, the new space is not permitted for a spray booth. Not sure how they’re going to primer and paint cars without one… |

People like that deserve all of the pain and punishment the "system" can give them.

Is there any new info with where these people are located? I am helping an elderly acquaintance try to get his 911 turbo back from them but they ghosted him a while back and he is not local. Any help would be appreciated.
