1985 911 transmission plug torque.. G50?

2 trans for my car? this is something I never heard of but now i’m confused.
915 trans 18ng
G50 trans 22ng

how would i know which trans? 915 or g50?

guessing 915 is older models

915 Reverse is down and to the right

G50 Reverse is up and to the left

G50's didn't come out until 87, but it could have been swapped.

I just tighten until snug. There is no real pressure inside the transmission box. You just don’t want it to leak. If I see a leak, another 1/8 turn.

The 915 has the Porsche Synchronizers and it likes a DINO GL-5 Transmission Oil. I use SWEPCO 201. Others like the dino Kendall product.

Engine builder Mike Bruns @mbruns rebuilt my 915 last year and told me to use SWEPCO 201. He should know.
