72' 911T Brake Lights

Hi,

The brake lights on my 72' 911T stay constantly on. There's no change in brightness when I press on the brake pedal. I've removed and inpected the switch that's on the master cylinder. The plastic piece at the end is still very springy. Not sure how to test it. I've also removed the two wires to the switch and the brake lights stays on. Can y'all help to point out other trouble shooting areas I can look into?

Thanks,
Ducky

Not sure what year they changed it but my 71 has the brake light switch on the pedal cluster under the pedal board. There is a lever and adjustment screw on the switch to set the amount of pedal travel before the brake light activates. I have no idea if it is the same on a 72 or not.

The wires on the master are for low fluid I believe, check your brake light switch under the pedal board at the brake pedal.

Problem solved. Pulled out the brake switch and made some adjustments per Brian's post. I also bent the lever slightly so that it doesn't pop off which caused the circuit to stay closed. I'm new to these Longhood 911's, so it's a learning process for me. Thanks for the quick reply. Here's some pics of Eggsy
