is there any way to vacuum out or inspect the heat tunnels on a Targa for debris. I am talking about where the heated air goes once it has left the heat exchangers and went up through the "flapper" valve and before it exits in the passanger footwells. My car was in extended storage and I want to make sure there is nothing in this area before I start blasting heat through it and poss. start a fire or something else.
any help is greatly appreciated. Chris 77' S w/ SC upgrades 01' 325I w/ ACS upgrades |

Powerful shop vac in reverse or blower in the footwell outlets, remove the flapper valve hoses and give it a blow job!
If there is debris in there you will know. You may have to remove the footwell blowers if you have them. |

Thank You. I do not have the Footwell outlets I bought some to install when living in DC but never installed them. Thanks for the ideas and removing the hoses and open the system to vacuum out makes sense to me.
