Reputable body shop Houston Area
Hello All,
I'm relocating to Houston, TX for work. I'm bringing a Porsche 911 'G-body' project car with me. The body is a mint condition tub, has no primer or paint yet (has some light undercoating). It was purchased directly from Porsche by the previous owner. I've painted cars before, however, this will be a complete full body paint job, both inside and out. I'm okay with handing it off to a professional shop for the paint. I'm rebuilding the engine (converting to a 3.6), so I plan to do that work while car is being painted. I value quality over time or cost. Does anybody know of any good, trustworthy body shops in the Houston area. I'm also open to shops little farther out. Any advice/suggestions is much appreciated! Thank you! -Anthony |

I recommend calling Einar’s Garage. While he isn’t a body shop, he is in the business of taking care of p-cars and would certainly know the best shops in the area. I have had him do some mechanical work on my 82 SC and my daughter’s 07 Cayman. Great guy. Welcome to Houston.

Hahaha! No, I wouldn't say that to a shop!... Really just put that comment out for the Pelican community when considering reputable shops.

I highly recommend AntoNicks, 12470 Windfern Road, Houston, TX 77064.
They have painted several classic cars for me and they are fantastic incl. price.

Recently, I spoke to Nick at Antonicks. He told me that since his father died that they no longer paint classic cars. Apparently, dad lead the work on the classics cars, while Nick handled routine collision and repair business. Super nice guy too.

If you're down to tow it, Check out Terry Worrick Restorations in Eagle, NE. Drove there from LA and towed my roller back home.
Just picked up my 87 project from him and he's got some killer projects. Full frame of work even. Super nice guy and rad shop. |

So this is basically a body in white? No bodywork needed?
