Dead —- High-Lift-Jack
Any one recognizes the maker of this jack?
IIRC, I bought this when I was learning how to do my first engine drop. And I believe a few members have (had) this unit. The hydraulic line busted and I need to order the part. However, I can’t seem to find the maker. Yes, I have checked unit but there are no markings. I have searched EBay looking for a similar unit but so far no luck. FYI, the line is plastic. Maybe I should get a braided stainless steel line made? Or should I bite the bullet a buy a new one? Thank you. ![]() [img] Last edited by cab83_750; 08-28-2021 at 06:56 PM.. |

Take the line to a hydraulic hose shop. They should be able to make up a line for you.

Yep, or a supplier like McMaster Carr. They probably stock every imaginable size.

The plastic tubing is definitely the issue. It burst (see bottom right hand corner).
I still wonder why this is plastic. I would have thought it should have been a metal line/pipe. ![]() Last edited by cab83_750; 08-29-2021 at 12:23 AM.. |

That looks like an air line fitting.
What does the other end attach to.

I think Pete's right That looks like truck air brake line which is an odd choice for that application
I'd remove the fittings and line and take it to a hydraulic shop it looks like standard fittings

Worst case , get in touch with Len Cummings ( Boxster GT ) he can basically make lines for anything.
He made a whole bunch of stuff for me when i swapped a 3.6 in my car and his work is outstanding !

I tried researching why this has that line and my other 3 jacks don’t have it. Though so far I couldn’t find any engineering info, I suspect it’s because of it long length.
If I were to go to an hydraulic place, I wonder if there are issues with braided line or an actual metal pipe/line vs buying another similar plastic line???? |

This puppy measures 22”. For reference, I bought this unit many moons ago after having seen Pelican Members using the same jack for its high-lift feature.

That Jack looks like a red version of my blue AC jack.

Mike,
Do you have a pic? Google showed me nothing. Thanks. All, I think I will stick with the plastic replacement. Why? $30.00 (plastic) vs $200.00+ for SS/Aluminum is the decision maker. 😂 ![]() |

Ventura HoseMan helped me out.
I was told that the blue tubing is better than my original black one. All fixed. Thank you all. ![]() |

I see you're in Agoura. Try:
Hoseman 3500 Camino Avenue Oxnard, CA 93030 (805) 988-1072 You can see him from the 101 freeway. Take your offending hose/pipe. Lay it on the counter. Your new piece will appear on the counter in about 10 minutes. |

Thread back up....
As luck would have it, before the start of big project, the oil line on my AC Hydraulics DK13-HLQ floor jack burst. It looked like a Swagelok fitting, but it's a very fine thread b-nut with a compression fitting that I'm not familiar with. Does anyone have info on a replacement line? Thanks in advance. p.s. I love my ac floor jack but wtf, why make a line out material so bridle, it came apart in my hands.
